SDO-Pasay Conducts Division Level Oratorical Contest for 18th BSP

With the theme, “Figure for the Future: Realizing Ambisyon Natin 2040 Through Statistics,” the Pasay City Schools Division Office conducted the 18th Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)-Oratorical Competition Division Level on October 4, 2017 at the SDO conference room, in compliance with the DepEd Memorandum Number 00265. 

Dr. Melody P. Cruz, Officer-in-Charge, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, delivered her opening remarks which officially started the program, while Mrs. Imelda V. Boquiren, Education Program Supervisor – English, presented the mechanics of the oratorical competition. Mr. Rogelio S. Junio, Education Supervisor – Mathematics, introduced the three judges, namely: Mr. Librado F. Torres, Chief Education Program Supervisor, Glenda Tabaquirao, Principal IV, Timoteo Paez Elementary School, and Glenda Reyuso, Principal, Andres Bonficio Elementary School. Moreover, selected students from Pasay City National High School and Pasay City West High School performed an intermission number prior to the contest proper.

After all contestant delivered their speeches, Dr. Melody P. Cruz, Mr. Librado F. Torres and Ms. Tatum Tan, a representative from the BSP, announced the three winners who were awarded with a certificate. John Dane Villavincencion, from Pasay City West High School will represent the Division of Pasay in the forthcoming BSP-Oratorical Competition Regional Level after emerging as a winner.

On the other hand, Mr. Leonard P. Garchitorena of Pasay City National Science High School bagged the 2nd place and Mr. John Joseph O. Babor from Kalayaan National High School reaped the 3rd spot.
