KNHS adheres to a Gender-Responsive Basic Education Policy (DepEd Order No. 32, s. 2017).  It commits to integrate the principles of gender equality, gender equity, the principles of equity, of gender equality, gender sensitivity, sensitivity, nondiscrimination, and human rights, in the provision and governance of KNHS education. The student organization named K-GADvocates undertake different activities and campaigns to address both enduring and emerging related issues in school.
