PASAY CITY — Kalayaan National High School (KNHS) celebrated its 23rd Founding Anniversary on November 21, 2025 under the theme KNHS @ 23: Fruitful Years of Resilience, Determination, and Excellence. The successful event was spearheaded by School Principal Dr. Efren E. Canza, Faculty and Employees Association (FEA) President Mr. Reynaldo P. Cordova, and School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) President Mrs. Geraldine Ochangco.

The day’s festivities opened with a community Fun Run and Zumba sessions, followed by a Holy Mass. During the formal program at the KNHS Gymnasium, the school was honored by the presence of Mayor Imelda “Emi” Calixto-Rubiano and Lone District Representative Antonino G. Calixto. In her keynote address, Mayor Calixto-Rubiano praised the school’s “bayanihan” spirit and its vital role in providing a nurturing environment for Pasay youths.

The celebration continued with a vibrant showcase of student talent, including a high-energy Battle of the Bands and various creative student-led booths. The anniversary concluded with the prestigious Mr. and Ms. KNHS 2025 pageant, highlighting the intelligence and grace of the student body. As it enters its 24th year, KNHS reaffirms its commitment to nurturing resilient and determined lifelong learners.
